Who writes this site
Written by the Rig Amps editorial team. We sign as a team, not with a personal name, and we never use an invented persona. Our method is the same on every page: we read the makers' and stores' published product pages and public data sources, quote the figures with the date we read them, run the calculations shown on the page, and pick models with written rules, never by commission. We have not bought or tested the products we compare. The full method is on How we compare.
Every figure on the site is quoted from a maker's or store's page, or from a public data source, with the date we read it. Calculations are marked [calc] and explained on the page that uses them.

What this site is, and is not
Rig Amps compares 12V products for vans, campers and RVs from the figures their makers publish, and offers calculators to size a system. It has not tested any product, is not affiliated with any brand, and does not give installation instructions. Electrical work on a vehicle should be done or checked by a qualified installer. Brand names belong to their owners.
